CarrieChat requires only an internet browser and doesn't even require any extra plugins like as Flash, Java, or ActiveX. CarrieChat is simple, clean, fast, and very user-friendly.

Specifically, it is recommended that you use Microsoft® Internet Explorer version 6 (or greater) or Netscape® version 7 (or greater) to use these chatrooms. It is also required that you have frames and javascript enabled. All settings required for the chat to function properly are according to the browser default capabilities and 'medium' security settings. Note that absolutely no technical support whatsoever is provided for the free use of the CarrieChat. However; when the Carrie Fisher Fan Club schedules an exclusive chat, limited support may be provided during those events.
